Bed in a van overlooking es Vedrà and es Vedranell. | AIRBNB

On the well-known Airbnb platform, anyone interested will be able to rent in the Pitiusas a 'motor home' or, what is the same, a van to spend the night at any point of the islands. Looking for offers between January 13 and 26 of the same month, users of the well-known website will be able to sleep in a caravan for 67 euros per night.

The truth is that the vehicle -nothing luxurious- can accommodate two travelers and has a small kitchen with a portable stove and the traditional beach fridge. With a discount of 291 euros per weekly stay, the occupants will have to pay a total of 1,036 euros for 13 nights.

This is a small example of the more than 20 ads of this type currently appearing on Airbnb, with hosts charging up to 300 euros a night to sleep in one of these 'mobile homes'.

Among the most surprising, highlights the announcement of what a host of Formentera calls 'caravan / motorhome', although it is still a vehicle of the most normal in which a mattress has been placed in the back to sleep and all for 97 euros a night, 82 after a small discount.

The ad highlights that the user will be able to have access to the seafront and even a kitchen, something difficult in view of the photographs of the vehicle in question.

During January, users of the site will also be able to rent a cabin to sleep on catamarans and pleasure boats moored on the island. With prices ranging from 120 to more than 7,000 euros a night to sleep on a yacht, the offer is varied.

Stores

On this same website, from May 2025 until September, a host offers a tent at a campsite in Santa Eulària. From August 4 to 18, the price for two occupants will be 140 euros per night. Therefore, to spend two weeks there, the user will have to spend about 2,000 euros on accommodation alone.

At the same campsite, another host rents another tent, in this case for four people who want to «immerse themselves in luxury and nature». The price per night is also 140 euros.

Offers

It is worth remembering that throughout the year, scandalous offers have been being promoted on this type of websites. Last August, a person was discovered renting a tent at the Can Raspalls campsite. The price per night was 41 euros.

The Local Police of Sant Josep denounced this man who illegally rented up to three tents in the shanty town. The penalty amounted to 90,000 euros. The Consell d' Eivissa later joined the case and opened preliminary proceedings against this person, fining him an additional 40,000 euros.
