Marius V., a stout Romanian, shaved and tattooed to the crown, is one of the accused for the theft in the house and offices of the ex-wife of DJ David Guetta in Ibiza. «Pay whore», they wrote in the bathroom mirror of the home. The apartment, owned by the former player and former trainer of Real Madrid Zinedine Zidane, is located in the luxurious urbanization Es Pouet, in Santa Eulària. The man, 41, has denied this Thursday at the Provincial Court of Palma his participation in the assault on the home of the injured, which occurred between 28 and 29 July 2019 between 19.30 and 4.00.

The defendant, however, has acknowledged that he was involved in the robbery at the women's offices on 15 August, along with a trusted employee of her and a third unidentified individual. «I know that Mrs Guetta had a debt of about 300,000 euros, but I do not know more details», said the suspect, who at that time had problems with cocaine. «My wife told me: 'Either you quit drugs and come with me to Budapest or you stay in Ibiza and divorce me».

Marius V. has lived in Spain for 18 years and has always worked as a security guard. He has said that he decided to move to Budapest, but a week later he was called by the other defendant, Rosario B., who was the manager of the DJ's companies and his ex-wife. «He told me that he had a job for me. I had to take some documents and some computers. And this was what happened». The man has assured that they did not take cash from the safes and that he did not make any graffiti on the furniture or on the floor. «Mr Rosario paid me 2,000 euros to enter the offices».

-Why did you convince him to do this? - asked his defense attorney, Tomeu Salas.

-I do not know.

Rosario B. only answered her lawyer's questions. The man said he worked for the lady and her ex-husband. I managed his private life, flights, accounting, parties and house management. He managed all the villas of these people in Ibiza». The defendant, aged 54 and of Belgian nationality, acknowledged that he opened the door of the company's offices to have the documents stolen because he wanted to pressure the woman to pay 300,000 euros of debts that the companies of which he was administrator had. They had seized two apartments and 85,000 euros from his savings.

«Mrs Guetta and David told me from day one that if anything happened I would not worry because they would support me. I am sure there has been no theft in Cathy's house. I have not participated in any theft and I think Marius either», he added. «I was super bad. I had my floors repossessed and 85,000 euros blocked. All this so that a lady who has a lot of money will say that I have abused her trust. I had all the suppliers who came to the office threatening me to pay».

The defendant claims that everything that happened has taken its toll on him. I have been living hell since 2018, I have no life. I have been paying since 2018 a debt of a lady who does not take charge».

-But, Rosario, what did you do at the end? - interrupted the president of the Second Section, Monica de la Serna.

-I did not participate in the theft in your house, I have no record, I am not a person who can do these things. I opened the office door and left.

The defendant has pointed out that he is still taking a lot of medication and that he was admitted to hospitals in Ibiza and Barcelona after what happened. When you work with two super rich people and they don't care what has happened you sink. People asked me why I became manager of their companies and told them that they would support me». The man has ended his statement by saying that he is repentant of the robbery at the offices of Cathy Guetta. The statement of the injured party, which was scheduled for this Thursday, will take place tomorrow by videoconference.

The Prosecutor's Office demands a sentence of 10 years in prison for each of the accused and that they compensate the woman with 543,030 euros for the value of the stolen effects. The Public Ministry maintains in its letter that in July 2019, Rosario B. devised a plan to raid the house of the ex-wife of the famous French DJ and producer. He contacted Marius V.. The two men, according to the investigation carried out by the Guardia Civil, went to the compound, which has strong security measures with permanent physical surveillance and deactivated more than 20 cameras to access the interior of the house.

Once inside, they went to the bathroom and made a painting in the mirror in which it could be read: «Pay whore». Rosario B. and Marius V. seized numerous luxury jewelry and handbags that have been valued at 489,800 euros and fled. The victim hasn't recovered anything, bags or jewelry.

On 15 August, at about 10 p.m., the Public Prosecutor's Office indicated that the two men, accompanied by a third unidentified individual, entered the registered office of one of the victim's companies using a copy of the keys and deactivated the alarms of the different areas after typing the access code known to Rosario B. The thieves carried out painted on the furniture and on the floor of the premises and forced the cash registers of the different companies that the office collects.

David Guetta's ex-wife's trusted employee used the key to the built-in safe and took the money. The assailants stole various accounting, commercial, tax and labor documents and a total of 53,230 euros. They then took the keys of a Dacia Dokker van, which was inside the establishment, and drove to the town of Sant Josep de sa Talaia where they set fire to the vehicle with the documentation inside.

Rosario B., the unfaithful friend of David Guetta's ex-wife, was arrested by the Guardia Civil two months later and Marius V. fell in April 2022 and was imprisoned.
