El piloto español Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) marcó hoy el mejor crono en los primeros entrenamientos libres del Gran Premio de MotoGP de Gran Bretaña, en el circuito de Silverstone.

Tras Lorenzo se clasificaron el australiano Casey Stoner (Ducati), el italiano Andrea Dovizioso (Honda) y el francés Randy de Puniet (Honda).

Otro español, Dani Pedrosa (Honda), segundo en el mundial tras Lorenzo, no pudo superar la sexta plaza en una sesión en las que los pilotos de MotoGP rodaban por primera vez sobre este trazado y que abandonaron cuatro minutos antes de su finalización porque comenzó a llover.
