Àlex Minchiotti will join the Ibiza Town Hall government team as a councillor to replace Laura Planells, who has resigned for "strictly personal reasons".

"As councillor for Tourism, Commerce and Markets of the Vila Town Council, in just one year of office Planells has collaborated in the organisation of different initiatives to revitalise the capital of the island, highlighting the programming of the 150th anniversary of the Mercat Vell, which last October revitalised the area," said the Consistory.

On the other hand, they added that it has also worked on the positioning of Vila as a heritage tourist destination and on the application of Artificial Intelligence tools to offer data of interest to tourists in the city, among other things.

The Ibiza Town Hall wanted to thank Laura Planells "for her dedication and commitment during this year of her term of office, and we welcome the new councillor, who is currently part of the municipal corporation as temporary staff, acting as Project Manager".
