This is how the legendary 'Born Slippy' sounded in Ibiza in the open air in 2000. | Danny Geelen (Facebook)

MTV Europe held an open-air music festival in Ibiza in 2000. Nostalgic clubbers from the Ibiza of yesteryear have recovered some of the most legendary songs from the history of music in late 1999 and 2000 that were played at that festival. In fact, you only have to take a look at Youtube to find an infinite number of videos in this regard.

In the 90's & 00's Club Classics group, Danny Gleen has shared a video of Underworld's live performance of their legendary Born Slippy. The images show Sa Pedrera de Sant Antoni, where the festival was held, turned into a real open-air discotheque, full of people vibrating and jumping to this great song. DJs such as David Morales, Erick Morillo, Armand Van Helden, Paul Van Dyk, Sonique and Seb Fontaine played at this festival held in a unique natural enclave in Ibiza.

The MTV Europe festival was organised for the first time in Ibiza, in sa Pedrera de Sant Antoni, in 1999 and it was a bit chaotic. A year later, it repeated the location. The third edition was held in a discotheque, the now defunct Privilege, due to the organisational chaos and the consequences of the festival. In 2002, the music chain announced that it was giving up on Ibiza and went to Lisbon, where it was held in the open air.
