Confirmed the reform project for the Privilege discotheque

Among these projects is the reform of the Privilege nightclub, closed since 2019 and which is now 100% in the hands of the Matutes Company Group through Bahía de San Antonio S.A. The company plans to invest 8,EUR 2 million for the rehabilitation and improvement of the circulation of water and solar energy. A permit granted, according to the Consell d'Eivissa, to this party-restaurant under the COVID regulation approved by the previous Balearic Government in May 2020. A measure approved by decree law that allowed hotels to increase their surface area by up to 15% to adapt to the changes resulting from the coronavirus crisis and modernize their offer, provided that they did not increase their seats or raise their height and that it also allowed the carrying out of reform and remodeling works without the need for a municipal building license. This measure could also take advantage of catering and leisure establishments.

El otro gran proyecto aprobado por el Consell d'Eivissa ha sido la reforma por parte de Palladium del Hotel Palmyra, situado en la bahía de Sant Antoni, con una inversión de 13 millones de euros y que pasará de cuatro a cinco estrellas.

Otro establecimiento turístico que aumentará en categoría serán los Apartamentos Es Cantó, en Platja d'en Bossa, que se convertirán en tres estrellas gracias a una inversión de 250.000 euros. En estos dos casos, la mayoría de las tareas a realizar consisten en mejoras de accesibilidad, mejoras en el aire acondicionado, purificación de agua, instalación de energía solar y mejoras en áreas comunes y gimnasio.

El ministro de Planificación Turística, Mariano Juan, destacó que con estos proyectos «fomentamos la inversión privada para modernizar y hacer más sostenible nuestra planta hotelera y otros establecimientos turísticos con políticas de incentivos sin ampliar el número de lugares turísticos».

Esta es la segunda comisión del año que aprueba proyectos de reforma hotelera en Ibiza. El primero fue el pasado mes de abril con tres proyectos aprobados por un importe de 3,1 millones de euros.
