Acciona Living & Culture has reached an agreement with the Hyatt Group to operate a luxury hotel of The Standard brand in the building that the company is developing in Colonia Tabacalera, a historic area of Mexico City.

The Standard brand was recently acquired by the Hyatt Group and has establishments in major cities around the world such as New York, Miami, London, Ibiza and Bangkok, according to Acciona in a press release.

The hotel, the first to be managed by the American chain in Latin America, will have 210 rooms distributed over fifteen floors. In addition, Acciona Living & Culture will develop a development of 33 flats integrated into the hotel.

The facility will be operational in 2026, coinciding with the World Cup to be held in Mexico, the United States and Canada.

The Spanish company is also developing another 237-unit residential project in Mexico City, Skytown Insurgentes, on Avenida Insurgentes, very close to Paseo de la Reforma, and plans to develop 46 luxury homes in Polanco.

It is also developing 275 luxury beachfront homes in Acapulco (Guerrero) in four phases, the first of which, with 53 homes, is already being delivered. In the state of Quintana Roo, it plans to develop 282 homes in Playa del Carmen and close to 300 in Mayakoba.
