Fine of 200 euros for the driver of a car for parking on the sidewalk in Sant Josep

The Local Police of Sant Josep de sa Talaia wanted to remind drivers that «parking on the sidewalk or in an area intended for pedestrians was in 2023 the main reason for complaints regarding traffic in the municipality.» As detailed in their publication on the social network Facebook, last year a total of 1,623 complaints were filed for this reason.

This past Monday it was the turn of the driver of a BMW, who ended up being reported to the Sant Josep Local Police for having parked on the sidewalk. This fine amounts to 200 euros, as detailed by the Police.

Finally, they recalled that drivers must be «aware that the pedestrian is the most vulnerable user on public roads».
